The Hao Yuan Guest House was initially built during the Qing Dynasty, designed in the typical courtyard style of Beijing.In Terms of its architectural value,every thing here has been preserved almost intact,revealing the original style and craftsmanship of Qing Dynasty
archtects.
It is reported that Hao Yuan Guest House used to be the residence of the potentare of the Qing Dynasty,eunuch Li Lianying,and it also served as the residence of the great patriot Zhang
Zizhong. After the founding of the People's Republic in 1949,it was appropriated to the All-China Women's Federation,and later converted into offices for shuai Mengqi,Deng Yingchao and Kang Keqing respectively.
With China's opening up since the late 1970's,the Hao Yuan Guest House has received all kinds of travelers from many different nations, including presidents,
celebrities, ambassadors to China correspondents as well as hordes of travelers.
In 1988,The former Viceroy of Hong Kong once stayed here for a short time.And in 1999,the Hao Yuan Guest House again received worldwide appreciation for being chosen as the designated place for Lady Blair to host a banquent when premiere of Great Britian Tony Blair visited China.

The suites in the inner courtyard: They are the best,most luxurious and largest suites. The Chinese style sumptuous furniture and the graceful decoration in the suites match each other in harmony. Made of rosewood, the furniture was carved with dragons and phoenix. The round armchair decorated with carved glossy ganoderma on a marble stone back, theunicorn decorated armchairs, accompanied with Deluxe Suite (a long narrow table placed under the central scroll hung in the middle of the wall of the principal room), Chinese paintings, blue and white porcelain vases and a cabinet for treasures, set off by the blue simple carpet, add brilliance to each other.
